The Biber Collection and Contest were promoted on 14 November 2018 at the Kosovo Art Exchange gallery in South Mitrovica.
Jasna Radulović from Zagreb, who took part in both Biber Contest, Verime Zimberi Beluli from Kičevo, Andrea Popov Miletić from Novi Sad, whose stories appear in the second collection, and Katarina Milićević on behalf of the organisers of the contest spoke about reconciliation through artistic expression and the short story.
The moderator was Aurela Kadriu from Pristina. The promotion was locally organised by Gentrit Behramaj.
At the promotion, we discussed both the personal and social responsibility of artists in the reconciliation process in the region, and how activities such as this one can make a contribution. The Biber Short Story Contest about Reconciliation, featuring a multilingual approach, aims to motivate artists to think and create on this topic.
As announced, the 3rd Biber Contest will be opened in January, but it will be slightly different from the previous two in that it will not be limited to reconciliation as a single word and will instead be broader in scope.
