The jury made up of <strong>Tatjana Groma\u010da<\/strong>, <strong>Anton Berishaj<\/strong> and <strong>Selvedin Avdi\u0107<\/strong> has decided on the awards and made a selection of stories to be published in a multilingual collection.<\/p>\n<p>Biber is a short story contest for socially engaged short stories in Albanian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian.\u00a0The contest is organised by the Biber Team of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nenasilje.org\/en\/\">Centre for Nonviolent Action<\/a>\u00a0Sarajevo-Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p>The three winning stories are:<\/p>\n<p>First Prize:\u00a0 \u201cPti\u010dice\u201d [Birdies] by <strong>Bojan Krivokapi\u0107<\/strong> from Novi Sad<\/p>\n<p>Second Prize:\u00a0 \u201cKu\u0107ica u \u0161umi\u201d [Little House in the Woods] by <strong>Alma Tabak<\/strong> from Sarajevo<\/p>\n<p>Third Prize:\u00a0 \u201cTrokut\u201d [Triangle] by <strong>Maja Halapir<\/strong> from Samobor<\/p>\n<p>We plan to publish the multilingual collection of stories by the autumn and it will also be available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/biber.nenasilje.org\">Biber website<\/a> (in Albanian, Macedonian and BCS). In addition to the prize-winning stories, the collection will include another 22 stories by the following authors:\u00a0 Aleksandra Jovanovi\u0107 from Vranje, Aneta Velkoska from Skopje, Besa Morina from Pristina, Bojan Krivokapi\u0107 from Novi Sad, Bo\u0161ko Lomovi\u0107 from Gornji Milanovac, Dinko Tele\u0107an from Zagreb, Goran Paladin from Zagreb, Hoja Ogrizovi\u0107 from Novi Sad, Irena Skopljak Bari\u0107 from Vrbovec, Jelena Kalajd\u017eija from Bijeljina, Jovana Matevska Atanasova from Bitola, Marijana \u010canak from Novi \u017dednik, Mihovil Rismondo from Zagreb, Milan Vorkapi\u0107 from Vrnja\u010dka Banja, Milena Babi\u0107 from Kru\u0161evac, Milica Ra\u0161i\u0107 from Ni\u0161, Nikola Nikoli\u0107 from Podgorica, Nikola Petrovi\u0107 from Belgrade, Petra Rapai\u0107 from Novi Sad, Sanja Trpkovska from Skopje, Senad Jusi\u0107 from Bugojno and Vesa Qena from Pristina.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to thank all the participants in the contest for supporting this idea and send us their stories. We thank the jury for its tremendous effort, as well as the team in charge of the pre-selection.
