My most important experience from the training was meeting phenomenal people and engaging in active dialogue with them. Namely, during the training, I had the opportunity to meet great people from the former Yugoslavia (Serbia, Macedonia, Croatia, Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina), exchange opinions with them and dilemmas about peacebuilding and dealing with the past in our countries in the region, actively listen to the experiences and pain of others, but also to feel safe in sharing my own painful experiences with the group. The training has empowered me both on a personal and on a professional level. I forged strong bonds with the training participants and the wonderful CNA team that have continued to this day. There are great people living in our region and they are ready to genuinely deal with the past and build peace. This is a big and important resource. I would recommend this training to all those people who want to establish cooperation and dialogue with participants from the former Yugoslavia, who want to openly talk about the problems from the past and the present, but who also want to think about our common perspectives for the future. There will definitely be an exchange of opinions, every participant will be afforded respect, there will be mutual listening, as well as mutual criticism and self-criticism. This means opening up topics that are painful and that we often \u201csweep under the rug\u201d, but that prevent us from embarking on a constructive process of dealing with the past and building our societies on the values of peace.
