Another training from our Training for Trainers in Peacebuilding Programme is complete.  (You can read more about the Programme here)

We gathered from 8 to 18 August 2014 in Ivanjica, a small town in south-western Serbia where we were warmly welcomed. The group consisted of 20 participants and four members of the training team.

Since our last meeting, teams of participants had met to prepare their workshops on a selected topic with the support of two members from the training team.

In the first part of the training, all the participants had an opportunity to try on the role of trainer in a safe environment among the group. In the second part of the training, we used that experience and insights to examine the role of the trainer, approaches to working as a trainer, their role in reconciliation processes, etc.

We parted feeling empowered, the divide between “trainers” and “participants” wiped away, with much to be satisfied about, ready for cooperation, already thinking about the future and feeling that we all gained allies in what we call peacebuilding. Or simply put, our endeavour to live better societies.

More information about the training will be available in the upcoming report.
