Peacebuilding training for students from Bosnia and Herzegovina was held from 31 July to 5 August on Mount Jahorina, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The idea for the training emerged from the final phase of the Training for Trainers organised by the Centre for Nonviolent Action last year. The team comprised three trainers from the Training for Trainers and two trainers from CNA.

Twenty students from various parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and from various faculties attended the training. We worked on topics related to teamwork, cooperation, dealing with the past, reconciliation, peacebuilding, etc. The training programme was adapted from day to day to meet the needs of this very motivated group, making the training more demanding. All of us, both the training team and the participants, would have benefited from a few more days of working together, because the group was very interested in exchanging opinions and views. A special value of the training were the personal stories of the participants that bound us together.

Although this was the first time that we did a training with students from only one country, because our trainings are usually regional, it turned out that there is much need for this kind of work and the participating students from BiH were very motivated about peacebuilding.
