Some 750 stories were entered in the Fourth Biber Short Story Contest. The jury made up of Tatjana Gromača, Anton Berishaj and Selvedin Avdić has decided on the awards and made a selection of stories to be published in a multilingual collection.
Biber is a short story contest for socially engaged short stories in Albanian, Bosnian, Montenegrin, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian. The contest is organised by the Biber Team of the Centre for Nonviolent Action Sarajevo-Belgrade.
The three winning stories are:
First Prize: “Ptičice” [Birdies] by Bojan Krivokapić from Novi Sad
Second Prize: “Kućica u šumi” [Little House in the Woods] by Alma Tabak from Sarajevo
Third Prize: “Trokut” [Triangle] by Maja Halapir from Samobor
We plan to publish the multilingual collection of stories by the autumn and it will also be available on the Biber website (in Albanian, Macedonian and BCS).
